The headline to this post is slightly exaggerated. Just slightly.
Coming in 2009: ANTIGRAVITY Magazine, New Orleans' most awesome monthly rock n' roll publication, is about to get a little bit more awesome. In the coming months, you'll be noticing a lot of changes and super-cool new features at Antigravity. As part of AG's renaissance of goodness, I have been assigned to give the magazine's "news" section a major overhaul.
Beginning in January, Antigravity's news pages will be the home of a bunch of brand new features, very similar to the types of shenanigans that we've been pulling here at N.O. Punks over the years. We're going to spotlight new local bands, showcase "featured" shows of the month, provide the latest info on upcoming local record releases, and even fit in some quick interviews and fringe tabloid material from the city's most forbidden corners.
So, here is (as always) my offer to all local rock bands in the New Orleans area and their fans: Tell us what's up and we'll do our best to fit you in. We want to cover your band, whether you're playing in your buddy's living room or if you're playing at the swankiest venue in town (does this town have any swanky venues, by the way?).
All you have to do is keep us informed about what you have going on. It's as simple as that.
Our deadline for the January 2009 issue is December 20th. If you get us your info by then, then we're ready to rock.
